Richard and Elizabeth Laird Winmill were pioneers  who inspired this research.  They and their parents chose to face  dangers and trials to provide their children with a  sustaining faith and  prosperity. 

Their vision and motivation was the same as pioneer of all age "who plant trees the shade of which they will never themselves fully enjoy."
